What is the difference between ASN and BSN?

I am very interested to know what is the difference between the ASN degree and the BSN degree? How will I know which one should I take?

ASN vs. BSN

There is about a two year difference in the amount of time you will spend in the classroom. BSN gets you ready to take on leadership roles and responsibilities, spends more time on physiology, pyschology, and human development, and many emplyers want new nurses with the BSN instead of ASN.

Although there is more potential for working your way up to a manager and making more money with your BSN, both ASN and BSN make about the same salary when they are just getting started. Also, you can get your ASN and start working and then bridge over to your BSN while you are working.
