February 29 is upon us and that means it must be a leap year.
Because there won't be another one along for another four years, give you a warm welcome to that special day!
Thirty days hath September,
April, June, and November.
All the rest have 31,
though February's underdone
With 28 -- hold the line!
Leap Day makes it 29.
Btw: In the Republic of Ireland babies born that day are to get a £70 payment from the Dublin government to celebrate the family.
And, it's legal for ladies to propose to their man:)
Why isn't it any other time?
Well, not really ... it's always been the male traditionally to propose, but hey, there's nothing traditional about our lives today, and maybe that's a good thing?
I'm never going to propose again so it will have to be the woman.
BTW, I have a book dated "June 31, 1788."
I am wondering what this could mean for a long time.
