It was a shock to see that headline a few moments ago.

Morgan Freeman is alive and well, contrary to yet another Internet death hoax. It's amazing how fast something can go viral, especially considering the Facebook page perpetuating the death rumor stated right in the description that he was actually still alive.
First things first, let Freeman's rep assure you that the actor is still with us: "Morgan is alive and well, and joins the long list of actors who have been victimized by this hoax," the rep tells E! Online.

Second, let this case be a lesson in not believing everything you see on the Internet -- or at least examine things a little closer. The Facebook page that went viral, "R.I.P. Morgan Freeman," warns readers right there in the description that "He's still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the internet."
Serious question: What kind of joy do you think people get from starting false death hoaxes?
