Has anyone found the worksheet for the capital loss carryover to year 2004? It's not included in the 1040 forms.

Can you use the worksheet from the previous year? Confused

Thank you for the link.

The publication, as far as I can tell doesn't say anything about the worksheet for 2003.

Since many numbers on the 1040 have changed, I'm guessing that you'd have to be very careful if the 2002 worksheet is used.

I went online and consulted publication 550 ( 75 pages! ) from the IRS.
I couldn't find anything about the worksheet! Cool

Capital gains and losses are submitted on form 1120ssd. The link I provided has the return year starting with 2003. The form is self-explanatory to a point. Just follow the instructions.

Lots of good info on the above link, but I still don't see a worksheet for the carryover.

Can common sense be used to calculate the carryover, or is there some weird catch to this worksheet. If mistakes are made on the worksheet for 2003, they'll be carried over to subsequent years... Confused

Miller, Refer to line 14 of the form for carryovers.

I saw that link before I posted here. However, isn't this is the worksheet in the 2002 forms used last year?
