Kelly, Randy and I had a band called Jubal, a prog rock band. This is us entering Canada in 1975. We played this little bar for two weeks there to polish our show up and then we headed to Winnipeg and toured West as Far as Saskatoon and East as far as Thunder Bay. We did great business, had a LOT of fun and made quite a bit of money. Good times almost 40 years ago. 40 years. Wow.

@blueveinedthrobber,
Oh gawd... 1975 and white pants!

My 15 year old self swoons.

Which one are you?

I'm guessing wide leg stance, blue jeans, red shirt....

@blueveinedthrobber,
I'm sorry. I didn't think you were that tall. Big platform shoes? (I remember those days!)

@blueveinedthrobber,
I didn't think you were that tall either!

I don't know why I thought that, though.

I love that photo.

@boomerang,
I thought I remembered him saying once that he was 5'7"...that number stuck in my head because that's how tall I was. Obviously I am mistaken! Embarrassed

Betty Boop sandals (lol!)

@Eva,
I still love clogs (danskos, which are relatively tame, but sort of eternal for people with a certain type of foot).

@OmSigDAVID,
"The Circus-Circus is what the whole hep world would be doing Saturday night if the Nazis had won the war. This is the sixth Reich. The ground floor is full of gambling tables, like all the other casinos . . . but the place is about four stories high, in the style of a circus tent, and all manner of strange County-Fair/Polish Carnival madness is going on up in this space."

Hunter S. Thompson.

Enjoy your stay Dave.
