The only time that I ever tried it, I had a fever and some really inexperienced nurses. They gave me three extra strength tylenol and two nyquil, I probably got to sleep so quickly because I overdosed...

Yep, probably! I usually think myself to sleep. Seems to work for me. I don't think about real life things happening though or I would neve get to sleep. I use my imagination to place myself somewhere where I would like to be and just pretend I have this completely different life. Every night I continue from where I can remember last leaving off.

Didn't try it, but I did go to sleep very quickly. Unfortunately, I woke up again at 5:00 because my dog was licking my ear.

Oh well...

Have you ever considered that your dog might play a big part in your insomnia? Laughing

Individual, so often you make me laugh, you have such a dry yet funny way with words. Not that not sleeping is funny itself.

I used to have great trouble sleeping after I got home from classes at night. Sometimes after printmaking classes I'd stay until, say, 1 in the morning using the etching press, and stop at 7-11 on the way home and buy a Newsweek and a carton of ice cream. Hated to get up for work in the morning.

Anxiety is a great way to stay awake, or wake up after finally getting to sleep, but ordinary non anxious thinking can make my brain all reved... so, you know, I try not to.
