Supreme Court and those pesky mandates

Can anyone tell me why the Supreme Court is having this discussion?

We already have a medical mandated law called Medicare, mandated income, state, consumer and property tax. Mandated social security, speed limit, mandated stop signs, car insurance in California along with mandated seat belts and biker helmets --- even our children are forced to go to school.
