I wrote a bit about a great bonsai place in my life and lost the post - it was Yamaguchi's in Sawtelle. It's popular now, Sawtelle. Was depopulated in the effort to put the japanese in camps.
Earlier, my mother and family went to a little church there as catholics, feeling mocked by people looking out their windows back in the twenties on their long hike. Dirty protestants, according to my mother.
Sigh.
