It really snuck up on me this year. When I realized, I decided to send him a card, but I drove by the post office, and they were closed. Should I call, wait a day and send a late card, or just resolve to do better next year?
Reading on Snopes, there never was a federal holiday honoring Lincoln - and President's Day is actually Washington's Birthday holiday, set to fall on Mondays.

Hold onto the card, change the date in it if you wrote it into the message and send it off 11 months later and be EARLY next year.
When I was a kid, Washington's Birthday was Feb. 22nd, period, Lincoln's the twelvth. So, you still have time, say, if you sent it via UPS or one of those delivery companies.
Or go whole hog and send a telegram (those are dead as dodos, aren't they?)
Yes, he will, Roger. He was complaining the other night that you rarely contact him anymore. Send the card. Better late than never. And say Hi from me.
