How can I make my rug live for many more years? Is a rug pad necessary for my rugs?

A rug pad = rug not sliding all over the place and you or a guest not being injured by falling.

Rug pads make rugs more comfortable to walk and stand on. As well, they make a rug last longer, too.

Vaccum it regularly.
Steam clean it every so often.

Don't spill on it. Clean it up if you do.

Keep it dry to prevent mold and mildew.
