I bought ETN USLV. The ETN I bought tracks S&P silver index and will also depend on the metals furture contracts performance. There are lot of risks mentioned in the prospectus to the extent of loosing principal. The question I have is is this risk low before the futures contract expiration. Another question is does all the future contracts expiration date known ?

@aajkaal,
If you have an offsetting leveraged long position in silver it would be a hedge otherwise it is by definition risky.

Futures contracts rollover quarterly on specific dates which is largely irrelevant in the context of 20 to 30 year Notes at the issuers option.
