I'm rather fond of crumpets. Nice texture, not a dry as an English muffin. Yummy with lemon curd. Smile

Tim tams! Those were fun little treats!

I like a good nutty bread with a little butter and some vegemite.

Good grief, Gus. That dog should have been beagle not husky.

And as I live and breath, it's that furry soccer back.

P.S. there's a beagle, bagel virus out there.

Major qualification here. The word 'vegemite' was mentioned, as this is patently NOT a foodstuff, this may not be the case...... Surprised

After the birds have been served, I'll have a toasted sesame seed bagel - toasted twice please - a little schmeer of butter, then a bigger schmeer of fresh cream cheese - not that stuff in the block from the grocery store - and I'll have two slices of beefsteak tomato with lotsa salt and pepper on the side.

What's (a) beefsteak tomato?

Oh, and Vegemite is evil. Only Germans eat it, I think. They're funny that way - no sense of humor. <nods>

Anyone ever notice that, if you read up on a thread and then just kinda post your reactions/replies as you go along, like, at few-minute intervals, and it results in, like, four posts of you in a row, people think you're a bit weird?

No?

Is vegimite the same stuff as marmite???
Me granny used to have this stuff in the house all the time. I learned to like it although, I have not eaten it in years.

vegimite and marmite are relatives, though pretty different. i think marmite is more sweet and sticky and vegemite is more salty and thick.
