Hi, My pc has been messin up alot in the last 2 days, I can't seem to stay connected to the net. I'm on dial up and it's usually not too bad, for dial up that is. But it seems as if I can't do anything with out it diconnected. Do I maybe have a virus? I need to try something though, because this is very maddening. Any help/advise would be awesome........thanks.

Is the computer working OK when you're not connected to the net. I had a lot of trouble a few months after I moved in to this house-couldn't maintain a connection. Once I determined that there was no virus, and nothing wrong on the ISP end, I called telstra (our national phone service). A guy came around one Saturday morning, and found a problem with the connection at the box in the street. He fixed it and I haven't had a problem since.
