@Msquared2,
Hello,

The next number in the sequence must be a prime number.
n, p, n, p, n, p...
But, what's the next prime number. All prime numbers excluding two are odd integers.
2+43
43-20 = 23
23-23=0
0+5 = 5
5-5 = 0

It seems that for every odd prime number you subtract the same number to give the next number in the sequence, which is 0. So, every number after each prime number from here will be 0.

Thanks a lot
Andy Charles

@Msquared2,
2,45,23,0,5,?

p is prime
np is not prime (0,1, or composite)
2,45,23,0,5,?
is
p,np,p,np,p,np
next number is not prime

so next # is 0,1, or composite

1st prime # is unique (2 is only even prime #)
assumming following # is also unique ,
So composite # is unique

so next # is either 1 or 0
and the 4th # is 0
so the 6th # is 0
so is 8th, 10th, 12th....

2,45,23,0,5,0

Question--What is the # after that? Hint it's prime.
