How do you feel about little kids being on able2know?

Certainly he's one of rock music's greatest bass players. And they may have diddled the video, but i'm hearing impaired, and i read lips. In one passage there, you can see him naming the cords he's playing, and i got the sense that he was singing them to himself--that wouldn't be evidence that he wasn't a good bass player. If you watch everyone, they really screwed up the lip-syncing, and Pete can hardly stop himself laughing.

That would make sense, sure . . . John is a nutter. Did you ever hear his album Babes in the Woods? He wrote such songs as "Happy Jack," "Fiddle About" and "My Wife." He had a strange outlook, to say the least . . .

It also occurs to me that they weren't really playing and he had to remind himself of what he appears to be playing.

13 year olds are little kids. They are children, and I feel as though they should not be allowed on a site where sex, relationships, politics, marriage or anything else of that nature is disscussed because those topics are for adults only and children are not mature enough to understand it or read it.

I doubt that GracieGirl is anything but a 13 year old or younger. Take a look at the childish and nonsensical questions and answers that she posts daily. If it turns out that she is in fact an 45 year old man pretending to be a child, then she still shouldn't be allowed here because that's sick and creepy.

Yes, I was abused as a child and I discuss it here, but just like how no kid should go through what I did as a child, no child should have to read it.

I think it's best if young children weren't allowed here. That's just my opinion.

I hear that you feel this is as an issue. You've read the rules that someone posted here, perhaps if you still feel it's not right you should write to A2K administration about it? Not much of anything that any of us can do about it.and I don't see evidence of something I consider a problem based on the rules and behavior. But admittedly I've not paid much attention to her other than some brief readings of 2 of her posts.

However, I do hear your concern and empathize with you - especially after what you wrote about your own situation. FWIW, I see no indication she is doing risky behavior.

Well, you know what they say about opinions.

umm, 13 year olds are having sex, but god forbid they might hear anything about it, especially something that might help them, or something that might make them say, "hey, maybe this sex thing isn't all it's cracked up to be" (we've had a few young kids come here with legitimate problems (pregnancy, abuse) who've gotten some great help and contributed good threads)

and as for politics, you're right, why would you want a 13 year old to know anything about politics, i mean just because they're going to be voting in 5 years and deciding the countries future (or maybe if we keep them sheltered they'll not vote at all)

Many fit in real well, and that includes the GracieGirl you cite. The ones who persist in posting in txtspk, or otherwise show themselves to be completely infantile usually find other places in which to play.

I know that GracieGirl is not doing anything wrong. I find some of her post annoying, but that is not the issue. Like I said before, she seems like a nice girl and she is very polite and respectful when speaking to adults. She is not the problem. The problem is her age. I used her name as an example. There are many kids her age here who post tons of spam and childish nonsense. I am also aware that many adults do this as well but we can't do anything about them accept hope they go away soon. What we can do is raise the age from 13 to maybe 16 or 17. I think that would help the quality of the site and stop children from seeing things they shouldn't. I honestly don't care enough to report it to administration. I just wanted to voice my opinion and see what others think.

Well since 13 year olds are having sex already do you think it's okay for them to watch porn? How about reading dirty novels and fanfiction full of smut. 13 year olds are children! Just because some of them like to pretend to be adults and have sex like grown ups doesn't mean that the adults get to treat them as if they really were. I'm sorry, but I think that some of the content here just isn't suitable for 13 year old CHILDREN.
