That's funny. Personally, I haven't heard anyone use that phrase in years. I just finished Peter F. Hamilton's epic science fiction novel Pandora's Star.

Jesus wept is the preferred swear phrase used by a dozen or so characters dozens and dozens of times in that book despite the fact it takes place roughly 4oo+ years into the future.

It's likely I will be reminded of the book if any in the real world actually utters this phrase.

After watching Game of Thrones on Sky Atlantic I've just devoured All of the available volumes of the Song of Fire and Ice, and I'm waiting for the next volume to come out on Tuesday.
