When I was in high school, my English teacher had us read a short story, about a guy who writes a book about living on another planet (I think Mars, but I'm not sure.) The story brings up a questionable topic, weather or not, the story he wrote about living on Mars, was true or not. I don't remember much more. I hope this is enough to spark someones memory.

I'm pretty sure it's not a book. Have you ever seen the movie total recall? the one with Arnold Schwarzenegger? It was loosely based off of a short story. They also made a newer movie also called total recall, same story. The short story the movies were based off of is called: 'We Can Remember it for Your Wholesale'.
The short story was written by Philip K. Dick
