Looks as if it handles like a two-wheeled unicycle.

Not sure I'd feel as safely in control on it as I would on a Segway with handlebars to hang onto.

Hmmmm....

I have some doubts on safety of Segways. After all, the founder of Segways died in a Segway accident while I was in the UK last year Shocked

Unlike the unicycle the feet can touch the ground so the risk of falling is less.

@margo,
The Segway is not safe in passive or inactive mode. If you saw pictures of GWB falling off a Segway shows it needs a bit if coordination and a sober mind. Maybe GWB was drinking when he tried it. The Brazilian model is safer as the feet can be reached out to the ground.
