Can't access Internet Explorer

Reply Sun 5 Jun, 2011 08:25 pm
Whenever I try to access IE I get only Bing and can't get beyond that. I downloaded IE9 and I desperately need it, but I'm stuck.

How can I rid of Bing and get to IE?

@Tomkitten,

you are accessing internet explorer -- Bing is set as your default homepage.

to navigate away from it, type a different URL in the address bar...

@Region Philbis,
OK, but I don't want Bing as my homepage. I want to change it and am not sure how.

@Tomkitten,
Tools (Alt+T) - Internet Options -

Go the the General tab
Click Settings in the search area

Click "Search Providers" on the left of the window.

you can now add search engines (link on bottom) and set the default search engine.

Edit - ** directions are from IE 8... Probably not much different for 9
