JCS may have overridden Obunga in launching attack on OBL

I suppose events could be seen that way . . . or not.

But it would not have been the first time that a president has been "shielded" by his staff from a controversial action.

But . . . a mini coup? I really doubt it.

It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

My big question is why it took so long to take action. They had intel that he was there last summer. Why the delay?

It's called training.....they built a replica of the house. They attacked it over and over....kind of like what was done when we practiced landing on the moon. (See quotes from Armstrong on how it felt.....)

Plus there is something in covert operations called "Letting them go back to sleep." As you watch a place, there is always the chance your target will become aware of your attention. Pull way back and watch quietly for awhile and the target starts going about their business as usual. Some times that takes months.

Remember, the son of a bitch disappeared for five years....when we found him again, we took plenty to time to zero in and make sure he wouldn't vanish again.
