@BumbleBeeBoogie,
Yeah, BBB, but turkeys are not normally solitary creatures. She, if its a she, has either gotten separated from her flock (maybe by a fox attack) or, as someone suggested, she's ill in some way.

Turkeys don't boing.

@Joe Nation,
Poor little scrubby.

I have seen turkeys alot and all sorts of odd places. Not to long ago hanging out in the top of the parking garage at the mall. Some guy kept driving up to - he wasn't at nice as this turkey that's been hanging out at the on ramp. That turkey ran after the car to attack it.

But this is the first time, I've repeatedly seen the same turkey hanging out in the same odd place several days in a row. I could see scrubby doing that as people had been feeding her. But I can't imagine anyone is feeding this turkey as they drive on the on-ramp. Us commuters get angry when some one or something slows us down - we wouldn't want to encourage it to stay.

@Linkat,
There is a very big woods of scrub pine below our farm and the township road cuts it in the middle. The turkeys are often crossing the road in single file, heads down, and all looking like they are already late to a meeting.

If gustavratzenhofer was still posting, he would have solved this problem. He would drive his truck over the turkey and then bring it home and put it in his freezer.

poor turkey wasn't there today. She must have accomplished her mission - either sucide by car or collected enough money for the Pop Warner team.

ergo you are not qualified to make a call not having the actual experience seeing a kangaroo up close and in the wild. Especially one wearing a turkey disguise.
So dont go making rash statements when you have no idea what you are talikng about.

This gave me a good laugh no turkey-roo insights, though!

@Linkat,
Aw, poor little turkey.
What strange behavior.
I hope she's OK & is off now having fun with the other local turkeys. Smile
