Oh no, I didn't know that was imminent.

The '84 election was very personal because Mondale was a local guy (I was in mpls at the time) and of course because most everyone I knew wanted Reagan OUT. I was proud of her as the first female veep nominee.

She's had a close call a few years back, as I remember.
I always liked her and she was a gutsy lady! Would have been perfect as VP,
she just was a bit ahead of her times.... RIP Geraldine!
