In today's episode, the bird applies for work as a news reporter. In the window of the news office we see a headline: "Mission Accomplished" with the sub-headline: "Whew." Another line reads: "Democrocy flowering like desert daffodils."
It turns out the editor only hires reporters who tell lies. "You'll invent quotes and flush fair play down the pooper ... while you attack people of distinction daily! ... leaving the corpses of their reputations behind you, their shredded dignity dangling like veins from your teeth."
Opus: "Sir! You have the wrong penguin! Good day!!"
Editor: "Starting salary."
Opus: (entering staff workplace) "Our mothers must be so ashamed."
my local paper just started carrying it, good to have opus back, will we ever see bill the cat, maybe another election run?
I thought today's was pretty good.
I think it'll take until 2020 for my local paper to carry it. Hmmm, wonder if the Chronicle does yet...
