I'm not sure if I should buy my guy a wedding ring. Do men usually wear wedding rings?
@cookiemonster100,
Yes, I wear mine all the time. I've maybe taken it off a couple of times in 20 years. Get something practical over something nice and ornate.
My husband wears one. He too has only taken it off once or twice, when it was requested by the hospital when he was having surgury.
I agree with getting something practical, and depending on what he does for his job, durable.
How does HE feel about wearing a wedding ring though?
I think it should be his decision.
My bride-to-be and I went to the jeweler together to pick out our rings.
That worked out well.
My husband has a tattoo on his ring finger. He works in a profession in which jewelry would be ruined or a hinderance. Overall, I agree with George, it should be a joint decision.
Yes, men wear wedding rings. Rest depends upon your partner.
It depends on the traditions and culture a man belongs to, e.g. in India both men and women wear engagement rings (equivalent to weeding ring). In Christianity also both men and women wear weeding ring
@cookiemonster100,
Yes, men wear wedding rings.
@engineer,
It completely depends on the choice of a particular person. Sometimes if a man like to wear a ring, but his profession doesn’t allow it, then he has to avoid wearing wedding rings.
My husband wears a wedding ring. He takes it off every once in a while to clean it or for specific reasons such as work or surgery. I agree though it also depends on the culture and background. Take your husband or FH to look for rings. That's what my husband and I did. This way he got something he liked and we both had a say in it. It was a wonderful experience.
@cookiemonster100,
Yes, the majority of men wear wedding rings. it's totally very cool and lovely act. personally I like that
yes men also wear the wedding ring.
@cookiemonster100,
He will surely wear it if the ring doesn't look girly and goes with the profession of your guy. If he is working in a corporate then there is no problem but if he is working for some security company then there is a good chance that they prohibit it.
Yes, many men wear wedding rings. There is nothing bad about it.
I couldn't stand wearing a ring when I was married. I never wore a ring before, and I never could get used to the darn thing. I was faithful while I was married, I kept taking off the ring because it never felt right.
In my experience, the great majority of men who are married in the US wear a wedding band.
Yes I would suggest you ask him if he would like to wear one, and also consider his occupation, would it be suitable for him to wear one?
