In what ways does a Christian’s view of Mariology inform his/her understanding of Christology? Is it possible to fully understand the incarnation of Christ without viewing Mary as theotokos?

But in what respect do you mean, the Catholic teaching “Mother of God”? Or mother of the body of Jesus Christ, or maybe better said mother of the “Son of Man”?
