There are three vocal versions of this song,
1/ "What is a Youth" from the film.
2/ "A Time For Us" the Henry Mancini version (with different middle section)
and
3/ "Ai Giochi Addio" with lyrics by Elsa Morante which has been performed by opera singers such as Luciano Pavarotti and Natasha Marsh. Josh Groban performed another version titled "Un Giorno Per Noi", an Italian version of "A Time For Us".

Many people have played the R&J theme here on youtube but they most all have the Mancini middle section, or an abridged Rota middle section. This piano performance is the first to feature the original Rota middle section and the Ai Giochi Addio intro.
The Mancini middle section used in "A Time for Us" is also appropriated in the Guru Josh Infinity (and GJ Project remix)

btw "Ai Giochi Addio"
translates as "To Games Goodbye"

1/ " Che cosa è un Youth" dalla pellicola.
2/ " Un momento per Us" la versione del Henry Mancini (con la sezione centrale differente) e
3/ " Ai Giochi Addio" con le liriche da Elsa Morante che è stato effettuato dai cantanti di opera quali Luciano Pavarotti e la palude di Natasha. Josh Groban ha effettuato un'altra versione nominata " ONU Giorno per Noi" , una versione italiana di " Un momento per Us".

How did those mezzo-sopranos sneak in there?

Well, I just switched 'sopranos' for 'opera singers'. My mistake. Anyway I am not an opera expert as I can barely differentiate a mezzo-soprano from a soprano.

To any chanteuse who looks good. Ms Jenkins certainly qualifies.
