i have mixed type group test of intelligence(verbal and nonverbal) by mehrotra, which consist of 50+50=100 question with 10 subset(total timing of test is 20 minutes). he gave age wise and grade wise mean S.D out of N. i.e., for age 11 the mean is 31.55, S.D is 16.70 and N= 191.
suppose if the raw score of full test of 11 year old is 62 and 63 and 98, then how do i convert it into mental age and what is the formula for both mental age and IQ.
it is too hard to convert into mental age, instead of mental age you can directly calculate IQ. i.e., IQ is the performance of individual compared with others performance. so if you know the Standard deviation, mean of the raw IQ score, it is easy to calculate.
the formula for Intelligence Quotient = [15(individual raw IQ score - mean of the test score)/Standard deviation of test score]+100.
