I can find music to like from almost any era and genre. About the only music I can't stand to listen to is banjo picking bluegrass solos. Mixed with some other instruments, I can handle it.

I'm not even sure what 80s music is any more because of the variety and tangents it offers - I'm starting to think it might just have been the most interesting decade for music in my life so far. From New Romantic to Grunge in ten years. Cool. LA Punk to Brian Eno producing U2. The rise of production as an art. The incredible palette of sounds available. The rise of the independent labels and home studios. Technology married to melody (occasionally):
