This is the javascript that goes into the header

<style type="text/css">

#dropmenudiv{
position:absolute;
background-color: #E3FFB0;
border:1px solid black;
border-bottom-width: 0;
font:normal 8px Verdana;
line-height:18px;
z-index:100;
}

#dropmenudiv a{
width: 500%;
display: block;
text-indent: 30px;
border-bottom: 1px solid black;
padding: 1px 0;
text-decoration: none;
font-weight: bold;
}

#dropmenudiv a:hover{ /*hover background color*/
background-color: #C7FF5E;
}

/* Sample CSS definition for the example list. Remove if desired */
.navlist li {
list-style-type: square;
width: 135px;
background-color: #FFFFB9;
}

</style>

function clearhidemenu(){

</script>

Then the HTML code that goes into the body
<ul class="navlist">
<li onMouseover="dropdownmenu(this, event, menu2, '150px')" onMouseout="delayhidemenu()"><a href="http://www.javascriptkit.com">JavaScript Kit</a> <span style="position: relative; left: 30px">></span></li>
</ul>

The problem is, it's not very wide. I am trying to make a document where some stuff is hidden to mouse over. If you can tell, I've already played with the width's a lot. Nothing seems to work. I even got the pop out mouse over menu to be wider, but the text still wraps really narrow. I'm stumped. If you are too, maybe you have a different code for what I'm looking for?
