CNN's Sanchez canned

Perhaps he's forgotten about it.

I love Jon Stewart's reasonable reaction to this firing scandal. Rick Sanchez I predict will pull a Glenn Beck (former CNN douche) as he will get a Fox News related epiphany and turn complete psycho-conservative and move on over to the dark side.

I thought Stewart took a middle of the road (yes, reasonable) approach. I was hoping he'd take the high road but he is, first and foremost, a comedian. It indeed was the elephant in the room at his fundraiser and he had to deal with it, both there and first thing last night. I think he did a good job of not escalating it further.

I don't think Sanchez was fired for what he said about Stewart. I think he was fired for his rant about not being seen as suitable to be an anchor -- not based on his abilities, but based on his ethnicity. That's always debatable -- why did his boss liken him to an hispanic reporter if it wasn't about his name/background? CNN, as of yet, hasn't made any comment on why the let him go.

Glad to see in tsar's link that Sanchez and Stewart have spoken.

I agree with you, from my bits of reading about it.
