We are already transcendent. We have been and always will be. The christian and muslim faiths only exploit the frailties of the material form to convince followers that the way to the transcendence that we already possess is through them.

We are quite literally dust, which has come to life and become self aware. All because the Universe contains within it, the simple potential for this to happen. How much more "magic" do people expect from the world? And really, when you think about it, what could possibly top that anyway.
