I'm still a Google guy. It seems to do the trick for me, whatever I'm looking for.

Of more concern is that search engines turn up information that is not verified and Information that is out of date. Its is up to users to decide what they wish to believe. Often a users belief is decided by weight of numbers (ie lots of highly ranked) web sites say similar things then it must be true.

Unverified information is probably worse than no information at all. all web pages should have to state the date on which the information was published and the sources used.

Current newspaper publishing practices all too frequently see jouralists downloading, repeating and republishing information without checking the source.

@dadpad,
Oh, that would be updated gonzo journalism. They used to sit around in Saigon and steal each others' stories.

Gonzo has come to have a radically different meaning in later years, but that was the original.

@ibstubro,
Bing is my search engine of choice. I use Google as a secondary now.

Google has actually been trying to imitate some of what Bing does.

@Intrepid,
Gonzo Search Engine.

They all sit around ans try to find a way to steal the best and brightest features from each other without liability.

But, I guess that's Capitalism.

Here's what you get if you type: "What would Socrates do if he could buy socks on the internet?" into google...

@Cyracuz,
That is about the 5th one down on Google. Wouldn't it be better to use the first instance when comparing search engines?
