Plant invaders!

My plot of land (1/3 of an acre) more closely resembles Omaha Beach these days than a rural New England back yard.

There are invasive plants moving in from the familiar poison ivy to the dreaded and dreadful Japanese Knotweed to strange things I can't identify.

How are your gardens? Do you have aliens among the peas and cucumbers?

@Rockhead,
There are lots of hoppers on the premises. Have you noticed how scarce they are? When I was a kid, a walk across a lawn or a field brought out flights of the little guys. I am so happy that they live on my land.

@plainoldme,
ummm. I can send you some...

scarce is not a word I think of with the little bastards. (and some not so little)

they abuse my plants something awful.

and the prairie is full of aggressive weeds. some are pretty enough to cultivate carefully.

my friend in town has some bamboo goes to 25+ feet high. and goes where it wants to...

@rosborne979,
I'll get my son to help. I don't have a digital camera.
