43d - second Lieutenant goes up with showy flowers - 6 letters - i?i?e?

49d - faces facts surrounding George the Sixth - 6 letters - ?a???s

Working without a grid it's difficult but would suggest 4 of the 6.
13a:LAMA( the French=LA :Graduate =MA)
61a:REMORSE (RE =about:MORSE =TV Inspector)
43d:IRISES (RISES =goes up:I =second letter of Lieutenant)
49d:FACETS (FACTS surrounding E ,the sixth letter of George)
