The Cute And The Cuddly - In The Animal Kingdom?

Hi!

Why do some, if not most, refer to certain animals as 'cute' and others as 'ugly'?

I think they are all magnificent, however they appear.

Some will squish a slug, spider or fly just because they don't like the look of them, but never a puppy or baby deer.

Are you one of this group that differentiate between what you perceive to be aesthetically pleasing and that which you deem to be ugly?
