Avast Internet Security cannot connect for the Update

Hi,, I am in big problem.My avast antivirus can not connect with internet for live update.But i need the update badly.Now what can i do.? Any suggetion?

What error messages do you get and precisely when do you get them in the update process (I am assuming you are updating manually)?
