I know. I'm just playing. (Something I don't usually do.)

An aside: I read a few days back that this is the highest rated daytime TV show.

Oh, I know, I just get turned on by ice picks in the eye.

I can see where this show could be a guilty pleasure edgar.

I watched one on youtube because it popped up as related to something else, and before I knew it, I'd watched a dozen of them.

I'm not surprised. People really enjoy watching other people being told they're jerks---in public. I noticed a similar effect on A2K: Go to a political thread that has run for a week or so. Check the "top replies". You'll find that the most-thumbed-up reply is rarely a thoughtful post making a well-reasoned argument. The top of the list is usually a you're-a-jerk kind of post. (Of course, voters would have to agree the victim is a jerk.) Judge Judy is a virtuoso of the you're-a-jerk putdown. No wonder people love her.

I watch her for about fifteen minutes three to five times per week. She brooks no nonsense and readily puts them down, often for nervous quirks, such as fidgeting, hands in pockets, saying 'like', etc. I watched Judge Joe Brown Friday. He told the defendant she was a low life scum and needs to be in prison. His actual wording was more precise and down-cutting than that.

This was another episode I watched last night, that I really liked.
There are 2 parts, watch both parts.

I didn't like this one so much that she was telling someone off, but that, during the 2nd part, I believe she really made an impression on the best friend of the defendent.
At least, I hope she did.
She was tough on the best friend, very tough. But I think that girl will think twice now about being led around by the other ones whims.
