I own a Rainsoft salt base filtering system with a chlorine tank that is always overflowing. I have to manually remove the mix of water & chlorine from it to reduce the level. What is going on?

I wish you had an answer to this issue, our chlorine tank fills up to the top as well. Thanks for posting this question. Hopefully someone will answer soon.

Chlorine tank? Are you sure it's not the salt tank that's overflowing?

Also, what is the age and model of the RainSoft softener?

Can you post a picture?

@skywawk,
If it's a chemtec pump on top of the 15 gallon tank, it could be that the ball and spring (check valve) in the middle of the injector are not sealing properly, allowing water to come back through the check valve and filling the tank. Some of the injectors have a spring and some don't. Relieve the pressure in the system and take the injector assembly apart and clean it. Be very careful not to overtighten the plastic fittings, and there is no teflon tape applied to the two halves of the injector, it's the nylon washer(white) that seals it.
Hope this helps.

Note: most modern chlorine injection systems utilize a Stenner peristaltic pump.
