hey, where's my pills?
they were sitting on the window sill.
should have known something was wrong when last week you tossed my favorite bong.
now it's gone.
you're messing with my drug life.
you're messing with my drug life.
dime bags flash up the union square.
people walk in serotonin pairs.
i remember it was only play
devil's sucking in the proteges.
just shuffle off through the golden mist.
take a number 'cause you're on my list
and later off second avenue
if it comes down to the drugs or you
baby, we're through.
'cause you're messing with my drug life.
you're messing with my drug life.
you're messing with my drug life.
you're messing with my drug life.

Rendezvous with Rama
By Arthur C. Clarke
Narrated by
Peter Ganim, Robert J. Sawyer

What the Critics Say

Hugo Award, Best Novel, 1974
Nebula Award, Best Novel, 1973
Campbell Award, Best Novel, 1974

"A frighteningly logical, believable, and grimly prophetic tale...Clarke is a master." (Los Angeles Times)
"A first-rate tour de force." (The New York Times)

Publisher's Summary

At first, only a few things are known about the celestial object that astronomers dub Rama. It is huge, weighing more than ten trillion tons. And it is hurtling through the solar system at inconceivable speed. Then a space probe confirms the unthinkable: Rama is no natural object. It is, incredibly, an interstellar spacecraft.

Space explorers and planet-bound scientists alike prepare for mankind's first encounter with alien intelligence. It will kindle their wildest dreams...and fan their darkest fears. For no one knows who the Ramans are or why they have come. And now the moment of rendezvous awaits - just behind a Raman airlock door.

@djjd62,
Hadn't heard the 'Can't help thinking about me' track, but I have almost all his early stuff on vinyl, and now digitally - but I can't find a digital version of 'The Gospel According To Tony Day'. My fave of that period has to be Mr Gravedigger - when you think about where he started from it really has been a long strange trip.

@Gargamel,
G, it's the "what are you listening to right now?" thread, not the "what are you doing right now?" thread.
