Drove Through Ghosts To Get Here by 65daysofstatic

It's art rock. I'm very into the whole alternative music thing. I love anything that shuns conformity. If anyone knows are unusual/different bands, I'd love to hear.

@Swimpy,
Hi Aperson

You might like a bit of:
Mogwai
Godspeed You Black Emperor!
Explosions in the Sky
But they're a lot more guitar oriented but do the crescendo, tempo increasing thing. If I had to come up with a description of 65 Days I'd probably say they sound Explosions in the Sky meet Future Sound Of London.

I like 65 days 'Install A Beak In The Heart That Clucks Time In Arabic' too, but having listened to the track you posted I can see they have a formula of sorts.

This random Fats Domino live album might be the best two dollars I've ever spent.

Yea, I've listened to primarily rock, and sort of got tired of the same old chord progressions, drum rhythms and instruments. I'm kind of moving towards electronica now.

@djjd62,
rotating and rotating Ron Sexsmith

I'd forgotten that he's at least as good a guitarist as he is a lyricist

~~~
anxiously awaiting the release of the new Bruce Cockburn - next week I think - the excerpts I've heard on CBC have been making me sigh - taking me back to the good old days - coffee houses ... Ontario Place ... hot summer nights
I happen to have that one too, bethie. It's in with all my other stuff and so I get those recordings as they come up on random.
Do you have any of the work Cooder has done with others? Bhatt or Toure? Delicious. You'd like em if you don't got em.
