Sarah Harmer

Some of her songs make me very homesick. There's one in particular about The Jiffy Grill back home that makes me a bit sniffly.

Driveby Truckers - I wish they'd come up here and play in this area. I guess Boston still doesn't have a lot of openings for country - even if it is twisted and funny.

Ted was his usual loudmouth self, but I was really impressed with the music he made. He was much better than I expected.

ZZ Top was just plain awesome. From their blues roots to their hard driving tunes, they did it all and they did it well.

BPB, I am from the south bay. The concert was at Shoreline Amphitheatre, the best place to see an outdoor show in the United States.

Some awesome East Coasters who play great original Celtic rock, Quagmyre. Not to be missed if you are a fan of the genre...

The site is still under construction, so some of the links are not set up, but you can access the music Smile

I've been listening to a lot of Bruce Cockburn lately. I'm having a hard time believing that the first time I saw him live is close to 30 years ago, and that this song was written 20 years ago ...

don't the hours grow shorter as the days go by
you never get to stop and open your eyes
one day you're waiting for the sky to fall
the next you're dazzled by the beauty of it all
when you're lovers in a dangerous time
lovers in a dangerous time

these fragile bodies of touch and taste
this vibrant skin -- this hair like lace
spirits open to the thrust of grace
never a breath you can afford to waste
when you're lovers in a dangerous time
lovers in a dangerous time

when you're lovers in a dangerous time
sometimes you're made to feel as if your love's a crime --
but nothing worth having comes without some kind of fight --
got to kick at the darkness 'til it bleeds daylight
when you're lovers in a dangerous time
lovers in a dangerous time
and we're lovers in a dangerous time
lovers in a dangerous time

We saw ZZ Top with Ted Nugent and Kenny Wayne Shepard last Sunday. They were all great, Ted really rocked the house and ZZ was, well, spectacular as always.

Hey Booman how's it going bro. Everything sweet in your neck of the concrete jungle. CCR still soundin fine. I'm picking up a CD tomorrow Willie Dixon, Poet of the Blues, got some great cuts on it. Love that man and his songs.
Hows them grandkids of yours. They look real good in that photo.
Take it easy Floyd, maybe we can rap some time on IM, kick the world into shape.

Didn't Willie do "Red Rooster"?..

Looking forward to it OAK, but what's IM?

BTW, I was watching, "AustinPowers: Goldmember" and thought about you. there is a part where Austin, and his dad, (Michael Caine) start talking in a cockney, to throw off listeners, and they have the translation onscreen in subtitles. Laughing Great stuff.
