Ladysmith Black Mambazo. I love the booming resonance of the bass voices.

Yes, Oz had a ripping little film industry early in the piece ... then it died. Crying or Very sad but THEN, it was reborn again in the 1970s & hasn't looked back! Very Happy
So you can pick up Radio Australia in Canada? Gosh.

What am I listening to right now?: Radio feedback from listeners following our (Oz) prime minister's press conference today ... Talking up likely war. Crying or Very sad Mad ... I don't want it/no wants it ....why, oh why don't our opinions count? I just feel like crying, but that would achieve nought ... Sad

Do any of you have certain music that you only want to listen to when you're alone?

Miles Davis' In a Silent Way is one I usually listen to when I'm alone.

Tonight, I've been listening to Gorecki's Symphony #3, sometimes called the Symphony of Sorrowful Songs. This music is so expressive of sorrow and sadness that I have to be alone to truly "hear" it. Tonight's news made it tragically appropriate.

Right now I'm listening to NPR, I want to turn it off desperately, but would feet guilty that I don't follow the hot news (professional deformation). But when alone I love to listen to sing-along-able things, especially gypsy music or southern culture on the skids.

Last night a girl got up to sing Goodbye Earl and was booed down by the Neanderthal clinentele..
