My CD just switched to Gloria Lynne "I Wish You Love" ... Would you beleive I just got through listening to a compilation CD, Blue Christmas'?

...There's a story....Every year, I have to hear a few certain songs that I've heard from childhood, or it doesn't quite seem like Christmas. They are: "The Christmas Song"- Nat "King" Cole, "Lonesome Christmas"-Lowell Fulson", "White Christmas"- The Drifters, "Merry Christmas Baby"- Charlie Brown, and "What Are You Doing, New Years Eve?-Nancy Wilson. At first, it was on radio, later on juke-boxes, and at parties, and in the late 80's, and early 90's, it was touch and go, oldies stations, tapes, anything. Finally, about 5 years ago, I came across a CD, that had those and about 20 other R & B, Xmas classics, some of which I had forgotten, or had never heard of. This year, I couldn't find the dadgum thing. The season of course, didn't quite sit right. Finally, I came across it yesterday, I've asked God to cancel that apocalypse, I requested, Twisted Evil I just played it, and natural order is restored.

I thought it was a bigger difference, in time....I didn'y give you a hint because I know you would get it to easy. He would be more at home working his Mojo on the Mississippi, than the Thames.

3 minutes, from now, I'll send the answer. Tick,tick,tick...

Since we have such a big Boston following, I wonder if anyone has heard of 'Dovetail Joint'. Local Boston band that had one hit single on the alternative stations ~ I ended up buying the cd and all the songs on it are GREAT!

But, it would seem they've disappeared.....Not a peep out of them in about three years! Crying or Very sad

Artist : Jimmy Barnes
Song : When Your Love Is Gone

Well I thought nothing was wrong, nothing was right
I turned to you, but you were no where in sight
I left it too late, and maybe I hurt your pride
I should have thought of you, now you've changed your mind
And just like a well, your love has run dry
Loneliness was falling from the sky

I'm like a man with no heart, I just don't belong
I can't help it when your love is gone

Well I missed all the signs, never read between lines
And all I can say to you is that my love was blind
It's breaking my heart, knowing right from the start
You tried to reach for me, now we had to part
And just like a well, your love has run dry
Loneliness was falling from the sky

I'm like a man with no heart, I just don't belong
I can't help it when your love is gone
And it's all I can do to carry on
I can't help it when your love is gone

Well I'll tell you no lies, you've opened my eyes
Made me feel like a man again
You've walked out that door, and you left me alone
I broke down and I cried, cause I don't think I can make it alone

Ohh.... listen..... I would sail the deepest ocean
Just to be by your side again
And all I want, is for you to love me
Just say you love me again, again, again, again

I'm like a man with no heart, I just don't belong
I can't help it when your love is gone
And it's all I can do just to carry on
I can't help it when your love is gone

I'm like a man with no heart, I just don't belong
I can't help it when your love is gone
And it's all I can do just to carry on
I can't help it when your love is gone

I'm like a man with no heart, I just don't belong
I can't help it when your love is gone
And it's all I can do just to carry on
I can't help it when your love is gone

I can't help myself when your love is gone
Your love is gone

hi booman -- don't sweat it man. grandkids are good, not that I've got any ---- yet. Muddy Waters, one good old boy. Got quite bit of his stuff. I bought a 3 CD set, with John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters and then B B King. You start listening and it carries you away. I got the BB King/Eric Clapton CD a while back, that's worth a listen.
You take care brother, I'm off to the land of nod, got some freaking sheep to count.
Catch up with you soon.

I know it eats you up inside
I know I know I know you know"

What's up to my main music man, Oldandknew! Cool

I thought my PC was the reason I had been double posting today, now I see it may be the site. Oh well, no use whining, nothings perfect.
