A free CD given away in todays London Sunday Mail.

The CD is titled "the 20 sexiest hits of all time". That's a load of bollox, although the content is quite diverse. Going from Etta James and James Brown via INXS, Robert Palmer, 10cc and others to Elton John and Boyzone.
Most of it sucks, but you have to listen to be sure.

That's not right, is it. Evil or Very Mad
We had one a little while ago, "20 #1s" that was really quite good. The Byrds, Fleetwood Mac, ELO, Cyndi Laupa on board.
Another was called "Coast to Coast", 20 cuts on it and had Mamas and Papas, Martha Reeves, bobby Hebb amongst others.
So 60 pop/rock trks for free and not too many junk trks in there. Very Happy

Lucky you. Well... we get... um, we get free individual servings of laundry detergent and make-up remover. Yeah.

I wish we got music.

LittleK --- Form a small protest group, march and lobby everyone you think can supply your needs. I say small, coz small groups are often -----
#1 socialy deprived minorities and thus #2 downtrodden. Both make you a depressed and thus a worthy cause and get you public sympathy and RESULTS. You could end up dancing in the streets.

Hi OaK -- Wow, I'm jealous, too! We get the samples of laundry detergent, too, and sometimes some breakfast cereals, but never a CD....

I love the old Fleetwood Mac tunes. One of my favorites is "Landslide". The Dixie Chicks covered that tune on a recent CD, but I prefer the old Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham version.

Right now I'm listening to one of the music channels on Direct TV, called "Soundscapes". It's New Age style, which is my preference for a quiet Sunday. Very relaxing. Enya, Kitaro, Secret Garden, etc....

Very Happy

Listening to Symphonycast on NPR. My favorite Sunday p.m. pastime. Christopher O"reilly just finished playing Rachmaninov's 3rd Piano Concerto, accompanied by the Colorado Symphony. Exquisite.

PaL - that Dixie Chick cover pissed me off. There was no credit to F Mac. Did they buy it?

The F Mac self tittled album is great. It has Landslide which I got a little tired of in the 80s. It also has my other F Mac favorites: Warm Ways, Crystal, World Turning, I'm So Afraid.....

P & L == I like Fleetwood Mac but I prefer the 1st incarnation when they were mainly a Blues band, but changes are good.

I've expanded my digital TV package and we now get about 30 radio stations and 100 plus tv stations -- lost for choice

I just went upstairs to find my Fleetwood Mac CD, but it must be at the office. It's the self-titled CD, with Rhiannon, Crystal, Landslide, World Turning. I'd like to listen to the earlier blues.... is there a CD available? Weren't they all playing separately, prior to forming Fleetwood Mac?

Very Happy

There are a few CDs out there from the earlier days. Before the girls joined. I can't recall the names of the good ones. Maybe OaK will know.

OK guys and gals == fleetwood mac. the best site is i think ---

http://www.fmlegacy.com/ it lists all the early stuff, back to the late 60s. A favorite CD of mine is "The Best of Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac". Then it all comes up to date

Another good site for all manner of rock and roll stuff about thousands of bands is http://www.snowcrest.net/jmike/rock.html
