Other peoples religious customs should not dictate, what I can and cannot do. If I want to criticize Islam, or Christianity, or even Scientology, I should be able to do that without fearing for my life.

They are not criticising Islam - they are deliberately engaging in behaviour likely to cause a breach of the peace.

What these people are doing is deliberately insulting Muslims who are doing nothing to them, who do not control them or in any way dominate their lives, and they are doing it to get people killed so as to build up racist hatred.

This has nothing whatever to do with freedom of speech. On a site which prevents my using - even in explaining historical matters - an old Latin word for 'black' because it was used by racists, your position seems to me illogical.
