I am creating a gamebook for my first year games development course assignment and am required to get some feedback/survey/market research for its creation and thought rather than just using the select few people on my course who are biased towards silly and comical responses rather than truth, I would ask your opinions.
A gamebook is one of those books where you read and get presented a choice at the end of chapters/pages/specific points where you are redirected towards another page, not necessarily sequentially, which will have the result of your decision.
The idea for the book is one of what did Jesus do during his 40 days and 40 nights in the wilderness alone. In the book I will have the reader playing as if they were Jesus as he strolls through the wilderness, during his time there he will meet other famous prophets/deities/gods from the major religions culminating in all of them having a bet against one another as to who can get the most supporters for their particular faith through any means they deem fit.
The book will no doubt have several comical twists and perhaps some things that people may consider blasphemy.
I have a question I would like to put forward to those of you on this forum as it seems it?s a big mix of Theists, Agnostics and Atheists. The question I ask of you is, do you believe this to be an appropriate idea for a storyline, do you think it might be considered offensive or distasteful, or, if you were inclined towards playing a gamebook, would you want to read this title?
Please respond with a simple answer such as
?Yes I would like to see this in the future?
?No this is blasphemy?
?I believe this will step on too many toes?
As well as saying whether you yourself are a Theist, Atheist or Agnostic.
Thank you in advance for your responses.
@Futang,
You're free to do it on whatever you want, but be wary when you are dealing with any material that is considered by some people to be sacred, so this largely depends on your target audience more than anything else.
@Fatal Freedoms,
Either way, it's all conjecture.
We don't have enough evidence to make more than a very primitive appraisal of who or what Jesus was, as the Cathloic church and others grabbed all the evidence for themselves.
Locked away to this day, me thinks.

Non disclosure agreements for the Scroll translators are mandatory.
Vatican insiders with access let things slip sometimes.
If the facts were released the Vatican would be out of buisness.
But religous gullability will continue.
As to the ops question,its like -one cant even sit
in the playground anymore with a packet of lollies...expect flak.
Try not to name teddybears after certain prophets unless you want a Fatwa.
