I have read through many of the posted yahoo problems and have yet to read one with my similar dilemma. I have used Yahoo! messenger for about a year and until this summer it has recently gone out on me. When logging in a pop up window shows up to say CoCreateInstance for the My Yahoo! DLL failed! I have looked this up in many places.. and even on Yahoo! help I can not get an answer to help me fix this.
I have uninstalled and installed yahoo messenger six times already and even updated my Internet explorer to version 6 like the yahoo website advised me to. Now when I attempt to download the installation does not finish saying that I need to rerun the installation from an administrators computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

The part about administrator sounds like you are not using an administrator account on the computer. You need administrator access (like "root"access) to do some things that change the computer.
