First mention of Israelites by their neighbours

The Moabite Stele - Large slab of basalt that records King Mesha of Moab's defeat of Israel "which hath perished forever".
– 9th century BC (Louvre, Paris)

Jew Who?

Asiatic traders, tomb of Beni Hassan, Middle Egypt. Jews – or not Jews?

'About the year 1000 B.C. there was nothing distinctive about the Jews ethnically, linguistically, politically or economically.'
N. Cantor (The Sacred Chain, p52)

POLYTHEISTIC JEWS?

YHWH and his Asherah

"It will come as an unpleasant shock to many that the God of Israel, YHWH, had a female consort and that the early Israelite religion adopted monotheism only in the waning period of the monarchy and not at Mount Sinai."
– Ha'aretz Magazine, October, 1999

'Should you not possess what your god Chemosh gives you to possess? And should we not be the ones to possess everything that Yahweh our God has conquered for our benefit?'
– Judges 11:24

Jews worship Queen of Heaven

"Then ... all the people who dwelt in Egypt ... answered Jeremiah: “We will not listen to you! We will ... burn incense to the Queen of Heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For then we had plenty of food, were well-off, and saw no trouble."
– Jeremiah 44.15-17.

The rambling, repetitive book of Jeremiah is a collection of disparate material assembled no earlier than the 6th century BC.

Jews worship Tammuz

'Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD's house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.'
– Ezekiel 8:14.

The Babylonian god actually gives his name to the 4th month of the Jewish religious year.

Jews Worship Anat-Bethel

Jewish mercenaries, garrisoned at Elephantine on the upper Nile from the early 7th century BC, maintained their own Temple.

As a "treasurer's report" records, the Judaean soldiers worshipped both Yahweh (Yahu) and his Canaanite girlfriend Anat, despite the prohibitions of Deuteronomy.

Mrs God

"At two sites, Kuntilet Ajrud in the southwestern part of the Negev hill region, and Khirbet el-Kom in the Judea piedmont, Hebrew inscriptions have been found that mention 'YHWH and his Asherah', 'YHWH Shomron and his Asherah', 'YHWH Teman and his Asherah'.

These inscriptions, from the 8th century BCE, raise the possibility that monotheism, as a state religion, is actually an innovation of the period of the Kingdom of Judea, following the destruction of the Kingdom of Israel."

– Ze'ev Herzog (Prof. Archaeology and Ancient Near Eastern Studies at Tel Aviv University)

Back Projection ...

"The Bible writers projected backwards into time the kind of political rivalry that was happening in their own day [6th c BC] in order to explain that rivalry and perhaps justify the Israelite position over current border disputes."

Magnus Magnusson (The Archaeology of the Bible Lands - BC, p76)

None of those accounts said that the Jews never existed before they were mentioned. So your post is as ludicrous as claiming that since no one talked about what they ate everyday, that means they didn't eat.

Sorry, but even the Muslims acknowled they're the sons of Ishmael. And many Jews today can trace their lineage back to one of the 12 tribes. So again, leaving out the Jewish records is gross anti-Semitism.

Yet you believe in neanderthals whom no one in history as mentioned. Wink That means that you cannot claim that a lack of historical record is proof that people didn't exist. So you make one contradiction after another that's easily exposed.

So since your "research" is simply to exclude Jewish records, then it's racist and therefore not credible.

SWEETIE.. YOU ARE STILL BASING YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF "HISTORY" ON A BIBLE THAT WAS WRITTEN BY A PEOPLE THAT NEEDED THEIR GOD TO BE BETTER THAN THE GODS OF THE PEOPLE THAT CONQUERED THEM... YOU ARE NOT QUALIFIED TO ARGUE WITH ME ON THIS SUBJECT..

SEND SOMEONE ELSE TO ARGUE FOR YOU.. YOU MAKE A FOOL OF YOURSELF

Sorry but since you haven't yet proven the bible wrong, then your posts are based on nothing but hatred. And since emotions are the anti-thesis of reason, then your posts are as irrational as they are full of hate. So they go nowhere except back to the heart they came from. Sorry. Wink

Logical fallacy: negative proof.

The argument from ignorance, also known as argumentum ad ignorantiam ("appeal to ignorance" [1]), argument by lack of imagination, or negative evidence, is a logical fallacy in which it is claimed that a premise is true only because it has not been proven false.

Another false statement. But since Satan is the father of lies, then all atheists can do is make false statements. One absolutely can prove a negative. One can prove that today is not January 3, 1930..although most atheists don't live in reality enough to know that. :rollinglaugh: Atheists are just like children who think they're pulling the wool over the eyes of their parents. So since they've never been at a maturity level higher than children, they can never see that adults can see through their contradictions. Wink

I think you are confused. I said nothing of proving negatives.

negative proof is a fallacy that states that something isn't true simply because it hasn't been proven false.

Your entire post is irrelevant.

 So things that have been proven true are false. Laughing Is that correct? Very Happy I would agree that that's the "logic" of atheists; contradictions. :rollinglaugh: You guys are so funny.

If something has been prove true, then it's true...otherwise it hasn't been proven true. It's that simple. Smile But again, since atheists don't know why imaginary animals can't turn into people, then of course, they can't understand logic either. So I don't expect much of you and you certainly don't let me down. Well then let's see your proof that ALL of the bible is true.

and for the record:

not proven true doesn't = false
not proven true doesn't = true

If it's not proven then it's validity is still unknown so you cannot say it's one or the other based on what hasn't happened yet. Basic logic.

It can be verified not only by reality (as in the Genesis account of the way the world works), but by other cultures as well. So it's been proven correct. Only people who think they can change the past by making up stories that can't be documented deny that the bible is true.Laughing

Please expound. Give specific examples.

Or all non-Christians, which is about 70% of the world.
