What precisely separates us from animals?
Could it be our body structure? Naah, we share that with many other animals.
How about intelligence? Sorry, many animals share high levels of intelligence, tool use and problem solving.
What about the "baby killing" line you just had to inject? Well, they don't kill in utero (some of them don't produce offspring that way), but have you ever seen an animal eat its young? Happens more often than you'd think.
Our genetics use the same chemicals, proteins and "pieces" so it can't be that. Heck, we use many animal proteins and such to OUR advantage. I'm not talking about milk and whatnot... I refer to specific chemicals their bodies produce. Diabetic medicine is an excellent example.
So where's the line? Better question: What insecurity makes you want to put your own species above all others?
