The Palestinian problem has a single solution: Turkish Islamic Union

Why Turkish Leadership?

There is much information in the hadith of our Prophet (saas) to the effect that the Turkish nation will undertake a very special task in the End Times. Istanbul is much noted in the hadith. The Turkish nation is the best suited, in terms of moral values and nature, to the task, and whoever you may ask is agreed on that. The characteristic of the Turkish nation is this: it is a virtuous and religious one. It has always been the standard-bearer of Islam. Such a nation has the right to be a leader. It will justly discharge that function and be an excellent leader. But this is not a claim of any kind of racial superiority. It is impossible for a Muslim to make such a claim. We are servants of Allah. Superiority lies in taqwa (awe or fear of Allah, which inspires a person to be on guard against wrong action and eager for actions which please Him). Anything else leads to fascism, infertility and evilness. Allah will respond to anyone who thinks like that, and the result will be catastrophic for them. When I talk about a Turkish-Islamic Union under Turkish leadership and supported by the Turkic states, I am referring to the moral values of the Turkish nation. Allah has created this nation to be very excellent and charged it with spreading justice to mankind and the world. It is a natural leader, resistant to suffering, troubles and hunger, loyal, courageous, religious, morally virtuous and honest. Anatolian people are very virtuous. Go to the Black Sea region and you will be amazed at their moral values, or to Anatolia. Go to the South-East and you will be amazed. Words canot describe their hospitality, affection, respect, kindness and honor. You cannot find that anywhere else in the world. To sum up, first, Turkey will undertake this duty as a legacy from the Ottoman Empire. Second, the model of Islam as is lived by in Turkey is an exemplary one. The rational, enlightened and honest conception of Islam in Turkey, warm, tolerant and not at all radical, is of the greatest importance. This is both an excellent example for the Muslim world and also an ideal model that will eliminate all doubts in Western minds. Third, all the sacred and holy relics are in Turkey. Fourth, we are at the center. We are at a key point for connecting the Turkic states and Islamic countries to Europe. We have a very-well educated and enlightened potential and are eager to assume the job. We are highly enthisiastic for it. Nobody else is as keen as us.

@ahmetsecer,
And why should non-muslims submit to your religion for running a government? Such a union would only create more tension. The middle east refuses to recognize better ways of doing things. Why do they not emulate the practices that have been proven to work? This is precisely the reason why middle-eastern nations have fallen behind in global prominence, this is why the region is devoid of innovation and progress. How many Nobel prize-winners have come from the middle east as compared to the rest of the world? It's pathetic.

You are a good lad and I like the way you deal with things here, but I ahve to call to on this one. You've read/ watched too much propaganda on this and have succumed. You hink of the Middle East as Isreal, Gaza, Iran and Iraq. All you know is what you think you see. The middle east is much more than the news portrays.

I digress. Your link seems to be in favor of what i've said. The united states alone has more Nobel prize winners than all of the middle east combined.

@ahmetsecer,
All is not peaceful in paradise. From: GOOD MORNING--TURKEY PRESS SCAN ON JAN 9

HURRIYET
-- SILENT TRAFFIC
The Ergenekon traffic that started following a six-hour meeting of commanders at General Staff HQs in Ankara continued with surprising visits on Thursday. However, contents of these meetings were not disclosed. The General Staff cancelled the weekly press briefing held every Friday.

Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan met Interior Minister Besir Atalay and Undersecretary of the National Intelligence Organization Emre Taner. Chief of General Staff Gen. Ilker Basbug, who was scheduled to have a meeting with President Abdullah Gul, met with Erdogan. The prime minister's office said that "recent developments were assessed at the meeting". Later, Basbug met Gul at the Cankaya Presidential Palace. The General Staff made a statement about the meeting and said that Gen. Basbug expressed his views and made some assessments especially regarding Wednesday's developments. After all these meetings, PM Erdogan had another meeting with Justice Minister Mehmet Ali Sahin and Interior Minister Atalay.

-- THREE MESSAGES BACKSTAGE
Here are three messages claimed to have been given by Gen. Ilker Basbug: we believe it was appropriate to directly convey our sensitivity and uneasiness, the recent detainments (under the Ergenekon probe) are not in accord with the law, those who were detained complain about where they are being held and these complaints should be taken into consideration.

MILLIYET
-- FACE TO FACE
General Staff Chief Gen. Ilker Basbug had a meeting, which lasted for six and half hours, with force commanders the previous day. No statement was released after the meeting. A press briefing, which is held by the General Staff every Friday, was cancelled. Gen. Basbug held surprise meetings with President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan and he expressed his views in regard to the Ergenekon operation to Gul and Erdogan.

-- EGEMEN BAGIS BECOMES CHIEF EU NEGOTIATOR
Egemen Bagis, deputy chairman and a lawmaker of Turkey's ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), was assigned as state minister and named chief negotiator for the country's accession talks with the European Union. The former chief negotiator for EU talks was Foreign Minister Ali Babacan.

SABAH
-- EMERGENCY MEETINGS IN ANKARA
The meetings of President Abdullah Gul, Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan and General Staff Chief Gen. Ilker Basbug have been high on the agenda of Ankara, while interrogation of retired generals, who were detained under the Ergenekon probe, is under way in Istanbul. Tensions escalated after the number of generals detained under the probe increased to seven and the prosecutors' failure to produce an indictment about the detained generals. Gen. Basbug held an unexpected meeting with Prime Minister Erdogan ahead of his weekly meeting with the president. The Supreme Court of Appeals Board of Chairmen also convened to evaluate the recent developments.
